Commonwealth v. R.S., Boston Municipal Court
Boston Police Officers responded to a multi-unit complex after several reports of ‘shots fired.’ Once in the area, police officers were directed into an apartment where the defendant and others were found.
The apartment belonged to the defendant’s sister, and the defendant, the co-defendant, and 2 others were located inside. A search of the apartment revealed a loaded gun inside a closet in one of the bedrooms. The defendant was ultimately charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm; Possession of Ammunition; Discharge of a Firearm within 500 feet of a Building; and Possession of a Loaded Firearm.
After trial, the defendant was found NOT GUILTY of all charges.
